An extensive mechanical and nut and bolt restoration was completed by Sportscar Concept Restorations, Rancho Cucamonga, California in 1998. It was a comprehensive, interior, exterior and mechanical several year restoration process and was recently freshened up with brand new paint and black cloth top in 2010. According to the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate this gorgeous car is an original, desirable Carmen Red/Black trim and soft top, XK150 Drop Head Coupe Convertible, which was the top of the Jaguar XK line in 1959. During the restoration process the owner reversed the colors to become even more desirable, stunning black with lush red leather interior. This incredible Jaguar was very well preserved and maintained car, having only 67k miles before starting the restoration process. The odometer was set to zero at the time of the restoration and has only 5500 miles since then. It will have a few more miles of driving enjoyment as weather permits. It runs and drives very well. This car has been in a private collection for several years and we are very proud to have a cat of this caliber. The paint and body are Concourse show quality, as is the chrome, stainless and glass.
