Fire breathing Red, Boss 429 Pro-steet 1970 Ford fastback Mustang with a 4 speed and a bad attitude. Over $25000 spent on the engine and heads alone. This is not a Z-code, quarter million dollar plus, Boss 429 Mustang, it is much meaner and is offered at a fraction of the price. Under the hood of this Mustang stallion is a bigger, badder, 545ci Ford Racing big-block V8 engine topped off with aluminum Boss 429 aluminum heads. A gas guzzling Holley Dominator 4 barrel carburetor perched on a high-rise intake manifold, MSD ignition, tubular headers dumping into heavy duty, large capacity, performance dual exhaust. This steet beast started as a factory 1970 Mach 1 and comes with many Mach 1 amenities: fog-light grille, lower aluminum trim, black hood stripe and black rear panel. The interior is a very nice black with Comfortweave bucket seats, woodgrain trim, console and 3 spoke steering wheel and aftermarket air conditioning. Classic visuals include the front spoiler, rear-window slats, rear spoiler and Shaker hood scoop adapted to the 545. The Mach 1 is also equipped with a 4 speed transmission with Hurst T-handle shifter, front disc brakes, Powermaster alternator and aluminum radiator with Boss 429 badging added. This American Street Beast is rolling on chrome Magnum 500 wheels wrapped by BF Goodrich white letter radial T/A tires.

"The Mustang created the "pony car" class of American muscle cars, affordable sporty coupoes with long hoods and short rear decks,
and gave rise to competitors such as the Chevrolet Camaro,, Pontiac Firebird, AMC Javelin, Chrysler's revamped Plymouth Barrachuda, and the second generation Dodge Challenger. The Mustang is also credited for inspiring the designs of coups such as the Toyota Celica and Ford Capri, which were imported to the United States."
"Mustangs grew larger and heavier with each model year until, in response to the 19711973 models, Ford returned the car to its original size and concept for 1974. It has since seen several platform generations and designs. Although some other pony cars have seen a revival, the Mustang is the only original model to remain in uninterrupted production over five decades of development and revision."
"Starting in 1969, to aid sales and continue the winning formula of the Mustang, a variety of new performance and decorative options became available, including functional (and non-functional) air scoops, cable and pin hood tie downs, and both wing and chin spoilers. Additionally, a variety of performance packages were introduced that included the Mach 1, the Boss 302, and Boss 429. The two Boss models were to homologate the engines for racing. The 1969 Mustang was the last year for the GT option (although it did return on the 3rd Generation Mustang for the 1982 Model Year). A fourth model available only as a hardtop, the Grande, saw success starting in 1969 with its soft ride, "luxurious" trim, 55 pounds (24.9 kg) of extra sound deadening, and simulated wood trim."American Dream MachinesAt American Dream Machines, we typically have over 100 quailty classic cars and trucks in stock and for sale.
